History bears relevance. We respect it i while glancing into the future
More than a century ago, the Święty Łazarz district was booming. It was at that time that the New Garden Street (today's ul. Matejki), the Poznań Palm House in Park Wilsona and numerous gardens were created. The Cavalry Barracks embodied the energy and contemporary pace of life owing to the prudently chosen location. It was here that military officers, officials and, of course, cavalrymen lived, being the pride of first the Prussian, then the Polish military. Other highlights include Park Wilsona conducive to strolls and long afternoons, the palm house, which is still one of the largest in Europe and Art Nouveau townhouses along ul. Matejki. In the center, meanwhile, one can find the lancer barracks, where cavalrymen lived and perfected their skills.
